Here’s a note regarding Ron Legore’s upcoming activies: Ron Legore-73 was heading to Aruba on January 29 for two weeks, staying with his cousin Eugene in The Colony. “I am going to speak with the authorities regarding The Church and making a park out of the hospital foundations. Also I am going to speak with The San Nicholas Merchants Association about restoring the old town as a historic district. The refinery has been closed for some time now and with the new developments in oil supply isn’t likely to ever reopen in my opinion. I will try to speak with the government about a beautification project so that its ugly equipment doesn’t dominate the skyline anymore. Also building a wing onto my cousin Eugene’s house in the Colony for a retirement cabana.” Ron’s dad was Clyde Robert; his mom was Eugenie (Hassell), daughter of Eugenius Hassell who taught Papiamentu for Lago and wrote the first Papiamentu/English dictionary.
